FAQ

  • Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your massage is scheduled to begin. This will allow time for you to find parking, use the restroom, and have a short discussion before your massage regarding any areas you would like to focus on or avoid. This is a great time to ask me any questions about the session.

  • Free parking is available on Cresson Street under the train tracks, and the small residential streets north of Cresson. Parking costs $1-2/hour on Main St and in the Parkway Parking Lot on Green Lane.

  • I offer a selection of 5 doTERRA essential oils to choose from for aromatherapy - Green Mandarin, Breathe, Balance, Lavender, & Cedarwood. An oil of your choice will be combined with the massage cream and incorporated throughout the session. I also use a weighted hot pack and will include 2-3 hot towels, depending on the length of your massage.

  • You can find a list and description of products used here: mosaicmassage.org/ingredients. At present I do not use hypoallergenic laundry detergent, and I occasionally use bleach to keep my sheets looking fresh. If you have sensitive skin and are concerned about having an allergic reaction to my sheets, you are more than welcome to bring your own set from home.

  • Most commonly people are either completely unclothed or wear only their underwear while on the massage table, however you are of course never required to undress beyond your level of comfort. Please remove necklaces and bracelets, rings and stud earrings are fine. Those receiving Thai massage should wear loose fitting or elastic clothing - something you’d wear to a yoga class is perfect.

  • Some people talk during their session, but most simply stay quiet and relax. I will always default to not talking during the session to allow for that. I will however, check in with you a few times throughout the session to ask about pressure and overall comfort. Please do not hesitate to speak up if you would like anything to change - temperature, music, technique, or anything else.

  • If you are receiving deeper work, there is a chance you may be sore after our session. Any soreness should dissipate after a day or two, and is generally followed by improved functionality in the affected body part. If soreness persists, please contact me.

  • It is customary to tip in the massage industry, but please don’t feel obligated to do so. That said, if you feel you received exceptional service and would like to express your appreciation in the form of a gratuity, I accept cash, Venmo, or card. Referring others to my practice and leaving a review on Google are great ways to show your appreciation in lieu of a tip!

  • Yes. Please check with your employer to make sure massage therapy is covered under your plan prior to scheduling.

  • Yes! I am tripled vaxxed. I’m happy to show a photo of my vaccination card upon request. I am still wearing a mask and other protective gear while working to make my space that much safer for my clients.

  • I recommend receiving massage on a monthly basis. The benefits of massage are cumulative, meaning you will experience more relief if you establish a regimen as opposed to only coming in for bodywork when you are already hurting. That being said, any amount of massage is better than no massage at all!
